Principal's Message
Dear Barrett Bronco Families
It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to John Barrett Middle School! As the Principal, it is my mission to create a positive environment that encourages and fosters diversity while supporting success for everyone – students, teachers, staff, and parents. This year, we will continue our work to provide the most effective teaching and learning environment to support our students and community. My goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality of education in a safe and supportive learning environment. I am a firm believer that communication amongst teachers, staff, and parents, is essential to helping each student achieve his/her absolute best. We are a collaborative educational team ensuring that every student is valued and worthy of our best effort to make this happen.
I am excited to welcome back our Vice Principal, Sabrina Young. This is Mrs. Young’s 2nd year as a Vice Principal, and we are so happy she is part of our Barrett Family.
Barrett has completed a 3-year construction project. Our entire campus has been renovated with state-of-the-art classrooms, a brand-new gym, six science classrooms and an outside eating area with a shade structure. We are so excited to welcome you to our beautiful campus
Lastly, at Barrett, we believe in having positive relationships with both students and their families and know that the teacher-student relationship is extremely important for a student's academic success. We model for our students how to take on leadership roles, advocate for themselves and build positive relationships with adults and fellow students.
Here are a few important days for the months of August and September. August 24th Back to School Night, August 25th minimum day, August 28th picture day, September 4th no school, September 7th Welcome Back Dance
